You show me a man who says he wouldn’t show boat after smashing the 100m finals at the Olympic Games- in WORLD RECORD FASHION- and I’ll give him a mirror and show him a liar! There are no higher stakes! There is no higher race meet! To call a man out for show boating after carving his name on Mount Olympus, with Hercules and Zeus, is like running a train over your big toe, and not flinching! It wouldn’t be human! Besides, the suspense was reconciled a year later in 9.58 seconds

I will always wounder why he show boated?
By FunkarDetta1, October 22, 2013 @ 9:13 am
Still, I agree with Valkyria900. Its hard not to wonder how fast he could run back then. At that night, if he focused on the time. At the same time, a more epic finish, in any sport, ive never seen. Legendary!

The way he ran it (while already breaking the world record) is more epic than another tenth of a second could have ever done.

The best celebration of a world record broken ever!

that chinese guy got a free arm pit smell.
By Karradaguy, October 22, 2013 @ 2:34 pm
I love how Richard Thompson celebrates his silver medal like he won gold. Shows the rest of the line-up were all going for silver.

why is everyone bagging on usain’s start. the commentator was stupid cuz his start was better than asafa’s this race

If he didn’t showboat that would have been close to terminal speed time, which is 9.37. Down around maybe 9.45.

I’m on my fourth video tryna find the crowd reaction also.

Like if you are here to see whether Bolt ran with an “untied shoe”
By Demoy Baugh, October 22, 2013 @ 5:02 pm
he is a monster, he is unstoppable!
By Valkyria900, October 22, 2013 @ 6:00 pm
I will never stop wondering, if he hadn’t been celebrating during the last 10-20 meters, would the world record have been faster than 9.58 today? And what if he had gotten a good start on top of it? I think he could have gotten down under 9.50 if he got one race where he did everything right.

who r u?
By Hazanul Kingman, October 22, 2013 @ 7:10 pm
2:30 He re-corrected the fact. Mr Alex, please watch the whole video.
By UhhJoee, October 22, 2013 @ 7:18 pm
Bolt could go sososo much faster!
By Alex Franck, October 22, 2013 @ 8:17 pm
Usain bolt was born on 21st august 1986. Which means he was never 20 years old throughout 2008. Which means he was 21 during the olympics. mr commentator, get your facts right.
