1:19 Oh god, my strides are so long that when I let gravity take over, I easily pass 5-10 people. It’s great being tall.

2 1/2- 3 1/2 miles on the first day and like my school removed the water fountains outside so yeah it was really hard.

This video made me confident enough to join XC last year. In a year, I have went from 26 minutes to 19:40. This year’s first meet yesterday granted me 7 seconds off to 19:33. I’m hoping for the low 18:00’s this year.

Some great tips for XC!
1: Stay hydrated
2: Pace yourself
3: Stretch your legs
4: Eat healthy. That means stay away from greasy and fried foods.
5: No sodas, coffee, or any drink that’s high caffeinated.
6: Push yourself but not to hard.
7: Wear comfortable, flexible, and light weight shoes.
8: Girls, put that hair in braid, ponytail, or bun.
9: Encourage your teammates.
10: Now let’s win this! =D
